The Kindergarten at MRVB School is a blossoming family in our school community. It comprises Lower Kindergarten (LKG) and Upper Kindergarten (UKG). The curriculum is developed around the International Cambridge and is influenced by the Montessori and Kindergarten methods. It caters to the specific needs of early childhood and young learners in a safe and nurturing family environment.
This section focuses on building the foundation of learning by equipping students with key skills in literacy, numeracy and enquiry enabling them for future learning. Children are encouraged to think independently and work collaboratively. With group activities and hands-on work approach there is also emphasis on fine and gross motor development. Children from the age of 3 years are welcome to begin their learning adventure here.
The Primary Section comprises of Lower Primary (Grades 1 to 4) and Upper primary (Grades 5 to 8) sections. Students from the age of 5 years are eligible to get admission in grade 1 of our Primary section. The curriculum has been developed by our own educators to include components of universal and Indian syllabi to draw upon a rich culture and tradition keeping in minds the academic expectations of elementary School. This provides a strong platform for students to move from the Checkpoint syllabus to the Board oriented Secondary section.
A well planned distribution of periodic slots dedicated for value education, physical wellness, mass prayers, meditation, parent- teacher’s meetings and trainings boost the spiritual, intellectual and physical aspects of the learners. Students have ample opportunities to engage in sports and extracurricular activities.
Implementation of LTD, where we learn through discovery is a system that caters completely to the cognitive and other 21st century skill development for all types of learners; viz. aural, visual and kinesthetic learners. This method demands a well-planned entry event, in depth interaction, reflection, printed notes, discovery activities and ends with formative and summative assessments
Our committed and hugely talented faculty work as a team to accomplish the goals and objectives of our school. They have been trained well in this scheme to nurture the needs of the learners and more than anything to inspire them.
Our Secondary Section as of now includes grades 9 and 10 and we offer the Gujarat State Board syllabus. Students can choose between few optional subjects of their choice that would help them in their future vocations and in understanding and loving their traditional language. Other subjects like English, Gujarati, Mathematics, Science and Social studies are obligatory.
Students are assessed thoroughly through Formative and Summative assessments and thus awarded internal marks. Our instructional practices are designed to provide students with an agenda for cumulative examinations, experiments and research skills, to train and equip them for the upcoming Board Examination.
The students of Secondary section being senior students have additional duties as volunteers and they with the help of dedicated educators gently remind their peer of the rules and regulations to be followed at school. They together create a conducive learning environment where they nurture and nourish each other to be morally good, successful and responsible citizens of future.
